Ezkiel was showing what the First Kingdom looked like in the eyes of God ( Nimbrods) as compared to what it had become under the rule of the Assyrians who brought a cult in and a God with a name that people thought was Nimrod, but was a deamon with a similar name.

I believe it was the Assyrian Babylonia rule at about 780 BC who brought in the occult in Babylon as Ezekiel prophsey about 529-570BC. This could have easily been the downfall of the Assyrian in Babylon 200 years before Ezekiel`s prophsey.
