@ayolisah Owerri dialect is not even spoken in Owerri town so how can Owerri dialect be the central Igbo dialect? Onitsha dialect is spoken in Onitsha town. Aba accent is the mixture of all Igbo dialects and that is the central Igbo. Chinua Achebe spoke his Idemili dialect to a gathering of Igbos and only 20% understood him.

The language is Igbo because they are members of the great Igbo family. They dont bow down to man, they are Igbo the okwu oto ekene EZE , they dont have Oba they only bow down to the only King they have, that is GOD. EZE igadigide. You see how blessed they are? God bless my people.
