I do not for an instant, believe the parents were responsible for the death of their daughter. The police were just itching to pin the murder on them, it's been well documented that they screwed up. They did not want to admit to their gross incompetence on handling this case.

The parents and the brother didn't kill Jonbenet. Their DNA wasn't on her body, and the brother couldn't write the ransom note and use the type of words that kidnappers include in their threats. It's the fault of the Bolder police officers who were incompetent and stupid for believing that the child was killed by her family. Lou Smitt was positive that an intruder did it and he's %100 right.

See a good outcome in a murder case really depends on the police officers you got on the case.If you got dumb ass lazy police investigators, any crim can get away with crime. Worse is if they waste time and resources on the wrong suspect. I hate when I hear shoddy police work, so often you hear about murderers being back on the street because of bad police work.
