if a squad of 10 fire warriors is fireing at a squad of 10 space marines and 5 are in cover do the space marines have to put there wounds on those 5 since the fire warriors cant see the other 5 and also does range at like los

no. The SM player can put them on guys the Fire warriors cannot even see.

Warhammer 40k is pretty hard to figure out when you're used to warhammer fantasy (I can dream the warhammer fantasy rules, but the 40k rules are in some cases slightly different which can be confusing). These video's do help a lot!
