This proves both rides are entriely different

The Institute of Future Technology had thrown open it's doors for visitors to Universal Studios Hollywood to explore. It soon became clear, however, that not all is well... Biff Tannen was on the loose inside the building and he had theft of the Delorean on his mind.

A spectacular totally-themed incredibly immersive simulator ride with a specially made 4 minute ride film that literally took you back to the future, this ride cost a huge $60 million in 1993.

Because the film featured the year 2015 as the distant future the lifespan of the attraction was always limited. The Florida version of the attraction closed on March 30 2007, and the Hollywood version closed on September 3 2007. The replacement Simpsons attraction is due to open in 2008.

The problem with what Universal are doing is that they aren't replacing classic rides with new classic rides. They should be making rides based on movies that are just as well thought of as Back to the Future and King Kong. The Mummy Returns?? Who gives a shit about that movie? The Simpsons is a cartoon. I went to the Orlando park in 97 and 99, so I got there when it was still great.

But yeah, I think the BTTF ride was soo much better. Hehe! The Simpson's Ride is still a little cute & funny though. Ahaha!

I remember when I was working at the Simpsons store, a while ago, Doc Brown came by on his little scooter thing & was joking with the Bart & Lisa characters saying, 'that was my ride, you took it away,' or something along those lines. Lol! I thought it was funny. Aww! Hehe!

Yeah, the motion of the rides are really different from each other, but the action in The Simpson's film was a little similar to the BTTF film; with Maggie putting the car into her mouth, another was where they crashed into the sign...& a few other scenes. (Even before going on the ride, they have a little skit with Doc Brown and that nerdy scientist on TV.)
