I challenge any current pop/rock act to write a piece of music, like the famous horn/synth solo here - it's not going to happen. Composing melodies is not what it used to be, it's all downbeat monotonous/repetitive tones now.

@Spheal4 yes indeed , today music is only remixing and sampling old music. people are to lazy to make new music. i live the 60'70'80'oo man i love the music. i wish young kids would like this music

@lumabi25 They didn't seem very simple back then. For example, most people of my generation expected WW3 to eventually happen and wipe out the human race.
