This video makes me want to attend UofT so much more.
It seems to me that a lot of these naysayers are people who simply can't keep up and take their time to spam every video that comes from the university of Toronto. Maybe if they spent as much time studying as they do for negative comments, things would have gone a bit differently.
This whole York vs UofT feud is just ridiculous. It's essentially the same here in Quebec with the whole "Concordia vs McGill" nonsense.

Most people fail this University? WTF are you smoking? SOME programs have a pretty high cut rate (Psych. for example) between First and Second Year. But to say MOST people fail is a blatent lie, the telling of which really shows how disconnected from reality you seem to be, both in telling it and thinking we wouldn't see it as a lie.

Gregg Wilson got fired 2 years ago from UofT, because he was a horrendous professor. Steve Engels is more interested in interviews, and impressing women compared to doing anything actually useful. UofT is not where you go if you want good teachers. A fair warning.

@ufowam What program were you in? I was in Comp Sci. My brother was in Poli-Sci, and both of us experienced those policies. It's not unique by the way, the crappy sources you speak of are the actual instructor's handbook, plus a Facebook page indicating student protests of marks curved down.

I'll need more than a suspicious blog (that was removed btw) and crappy sources to believe that. From my personal experience I've never had an exam with questions that were not related to the course's material or anything that would be impossible to solve. I don't reject the possibility of such a policy existing though: ugly things exist everywhere after all...

@ufowam It's one thing to have hard exams, and then exams that are designed for students to fail, to maintain the C+ grade curve. And by the way, NONE of the big American schools do this.
-
Be prepared to have your marks rounded down to maintain the C+ average. A warning to all uoft students, especially in your first year! Your marks WILL be rounded down, and there's nothing you can do about it. UofT is the only university in ontario that curves marks downwards, which will put you at a significant disadvantage when applying to law, medical, or graduate school!

@ufowam are you a student there? Which facutly/program?
This video makes me feel so proud to be part of UofT

@zen5678 "Most people fail this university because of a ridiculous grading policy"--> yeah and that's why there are 70000 students that attend it :/
Do you really expect everything to be easy in life?! It's normal for the exams to be awfully hard: it's university, and moreover it's UofT, one of Canada's best school, and if you're not good enough, if you don't work hard enough don't be surprised to fail and get kicked out!
