  • @cristian2452 It is a particle implemented into an npc codebase.

  • So the flies are a single npc, right?

    Wouldn't it be easier to create them out of a particle system tied to a model, or something similar?

  • That is a particle system. :)

    Connecting particles to a model - that was the last thing I thought about when I quit modding. I wanted to make a zombie walking with flies around him.

  • Yeah,but i must admit there are not many of them.

  • lol... i never think this in that way...

    but people on internet said that only the early version runs on a modified GoldSrc with bumpmaps and other things for tech demos... and then they ported it to the Source engine (GoldSrc heavily modified) and then somebody stole the engine with lots of maps, models, code and bugs...

    I'm confused :S

  • Half-Life 2: Source is actually correct. The Half-life 2 beta didn't run on the source engin (it ran on an unofficial virsion).

    HL2 is already source you know...
