It kinda sounds like shoegaze music with swirling guitars, if you would have lowered your vocals this might have sounded like My Bloody Valentine influenced band covering Smashing Pumpkins, Im sure you know who My Bloody Valentine is, MBV and Radiohead are some of the most influential bands in indie music.

It's funny you mention that cause I've since updated to Guitar Rig 3 and never looked back. It makes me cringe every time i hear the thin and crappy excuse for distortion in my early videos. Check the latest video on my profile of 'Let Go' to hear some decent distortion

Amazing vocals, even more so on your cover of touched. Though I'm not keen on your distortion sound. I would recommend you try using a program called "Guitar Rig" it has some pretty amazing digital distortion. Saves you needing a thousand watt amp cranked right up to get a good ripping distortion.
