Diddy reminded me of this great song a few weeks ago in April's Bar... The irreplaceable Alex Harvey... my favourite track - couldn't find a decent version of it on here anywhere...

  • Thank God someone has finally posted a decent sounding version of this awesome track. One of my favourite tracks by a true legend.!!

  • I found a NEWLY RELEASED SAHB album in a record store in San Francisco. "The Sensational Alex Harvey Band, Live at the BBC" was released in 2009. It is mind blowing. SAHB is the greatest musical band in the history of recorded music. Period.

  • Favourite SAHB song from favourite SAHB album. Is it me or does Patti Smith owe a lot to this?

  • @MrSidneyAgain

    Mr Harvey is a legend

  • Utterly and totally brilliant stuff from a true Scottish genius... and that band were truly sensational... Thanks for an ace post...

  • Great song, brilliant band.

  • Love SAHB wish you had posted part 3 though? And the album version of Impossible Dream . Thanks for posting this all the same :)

  • Like virtually everything Alex did, this is simply wonderful.

  • Thanks for posting but priapus 56 is right - you really shouldn't have left off the ending. This is a brilliant track, the sha-la-la-lahs at the close giving it that slightly edgy feel that SAHB were all about.

  • next to "anthem" this is my favourite harvey band song... greatest Scottish band/artist thats ever lived ... before my time to see them live but did see the new band in glasgow a few years ago, tbh, didnt know what to think of the new singer ...

  • Were you at Alexs 40th at Barberellas Birmingham when the champers was sprayed over everyone in the wild wild show? I was!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Amazing
