More research is being done on plants for fuels in the midstate, and with it comes potential for other industries to reap benefits, too.
Research at Penn State Harrisburg in antifreeze genes could give biodiesel producers a better raw material for their renewable fuels, researchers said. Their work in plant genetics also could make farms more productive and provide the basis for products in other industries.
