LoL- Yeah, sometimes kids are that way.

Of all of the Palestinian groups I can only give my full support to the PFLP (Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine) because they are a secular-nationalist group (similar to the IRA) and were neutral during the Lebanese Civil War.

I hate religion based politics so I can't support Hamas, and Fatah was responsible for the massacres of many Lebanese Christian and Muslim civilians during the 1975-1990 Lebanon Civil War so I can't support them

But as of this moment, it seems that there is no more contentious region with absolutely no quarter being given or asked.

I am a dispassionate outsider on this issue and I think that none of the parties involved have cloaked themselves in honor and glory there. Thats why I take the angry parent attitude towards them all, it's how I, as a single parent, dealt with "toy wars" Everyone was a loser! That brought peace to my middle east ;-)

When ya think about it though, Europe has seen a TON of bloodshed in the last 2000 years as well (The Roman Empire, The Byzantine Empire, the Vikings, the Barbarian invasions-Huns-Goths etc., the French-English Wars, the Spanish Reconquista, The English Wars against Scotland and Ireland, The Napoleonic Wars, WWI, WWII, the Spanish Civil War, the Soviet takeover of Eastern Europe, the Balkan Wars, etc.).

It almost seems as if there is a curse upon that land, doesn't it? Could there be just too much blood in the soil? Some sort of ley line convergence carrying extreme bad juju to that spot? What ever the reason, it just seems to breed trouble like a rain forest breeds scarey diseases.

But yes that area has been fought over for thousands of years.

Palestine has been under the rule of the Canannites, the Hebrews, the Assyrian Empire, the Persian Empire, Alexander the Great's Hellenistic Empire, the Roman Empire, the Arab Caliphate, the Crudader States, the Mamluk Sultanate, the Ottoman Empire, the British Empire and now the Zionist State of Israel.

LOL I am not actually endorsing this, it's just a dream I have. That area will be the death of this planet, it is a focal point of hatred that I would like to see undone. It just draws contention like a raw steak would draw hungry dogs at a dog pound, and sure enough, there will be a terrible fight over it.

BTW, I agree, Germany owes the Jews a true homeland.
