Everyone here who is bitching about London Boys and New York listen. Steve, Paul and Glen were all mad NYD fans, and even when the SP were forming Sylvain was asked to even join. Johnny Rotten didn't like the NYD because everyone else did. When Thunders recorded So Alone, he had Steve Jones and Paul Cook play on 5 tracks if I remember correctly, and they played on London Boys. So there is no rivalry ect. Thunders loved the Sex Pistols, he thought they were a great rock n roll band.

@mariosthunders that's because you're a bell end

@mariosthunders yes, I always thought that was a pretty slick trick on JT's part, but I have to correct myself before some YT know-it-all busts me: It was the Dolls who worked with MMcL, not JT&Hrtbrkrs

i dont think that any of these are up for discussion or arguement,was just stating a fact!

@mariosthunders yawn, not interested in subjective arguments

in what universe are the pistols better than the Godfather of punk and glam rock,Johnny Thunders?a mediocre album with only a couple of good songs cant beat 20 years of career that includes a bunch of records,3 of which have written history..

@dandylion18 i hadnt noticed before but indeed,JT's solos on this one are different from his regular style and quite remind a more British punk scene guitar playin,youre right!and thinking of it,the whole structure of the song,meaning the chords and even the vocal line remind me of the Pistols' songwriting.Quite genious of Johnny imo,he proved that even out of his league he was actually better than all those "london boys",writing a song out of the range of his regular kick ass rock n roll style!

@mariosthunders yes, totally a response to sx pstls "NY". Check out the reference to Malcolm McLaren: "You need an escort just to take a piss/ he holds your hand and he shakes your dick" (JT & hrtbrkrs would later work with McLaren) the most direct reference to the sx pstls is "You don't know junk, just anarchy" JT's guitar solo even mimics Steve Jones!
Hey, I'm not gonna read the entire 7 pages of comments. Are you all missing out on the fact that STEVE JONES played guitar on the studio version of this?!
