Ingredients:

1 cup sugar
6 large eggs
1/2 cup melted butter
1/4 cup warm milk
6 tsp. baking powder
salt
lemon extract
6 cups flour
1/2 cup powdered sugar
milk, butter
food coloring (any bright color)

Directions:
Add sugar and eggs to a mixer. Mix to a fluffy constancy.
Then, once melted butter is cool, add it to the mixture and mix for 30 seconds.
Add milk, baking powder, a pinch of salt, and 1 tsp. of lemon extract to mixture. Mix well.
Add flour to mixture and mix into a dough.
Roll dough into 3 to 5 inch diameter balls and set on a cookie sheet.
Preheat oven to 375 and bake cookies for 12 to 15 mins. When finished cooking, let cool before icing.

To make icing, add 1/2 cup powdered sugar and 1/4 tsp. of lemon extract, and a 1/2 tsp. of melted butter to a mixing bowl.
Slowly pour milk into mixture while mixing to achieve a thick gravy-like consistency.
Add 2 to 3 drops of food coloring and mix.
Dip top half of cookie in icing and set aside to dry.

  • Wow, haha ^^ I can see that she's your friend instantly! Smiley, and jumpy :D Love the intro; I remember you saying each guest you have one, you'll change it :D Another great video!

  • @jaywilton18 Yes, she is a bubbly girl. She's always there with a smile and is a great friend. A fun fact about Anita is that she used to be a very accomplished roller skater.

  • The cookies look real easy to make and fun to just dip into the frosting..anything

that's easy gets my attention!!! Enjoy you substituting, nice job.

  • @ThePeaceGoddess It's fun to make a plate with several different colors. I've seen her do this and it's really festive.

  • Me too!!! She is a great friend and such a fun person. I'm happy she is here to keep the show going while I pack up my entire life and ship it to Oregon.

  • This looks really good, and I like how all the ingredients are easy to get. I'm sure most people have all of them :) the only thing I'm wondering about is, you said you'd show us two ways to decorate, but only showed us one^^; what was the other way?

  • @yaoifangirl2009 I asked Anita, and she said that the other way to ice the cookies is to leave them on a plate and spoon the icing over them. She prefers dipping them because it's easier to coat them that way.
