I think it is better when you show the pictures of the pedal chain instead of just wording it, illustrations can be understood in any language.

I agree that is why I do it.
The pedal settings can be viewed or printed from the forum web page if needed.
The earlier shows were text only but this format is more informative and fun to watch.

is the white noise just created by cranking up the big muff and boosting it?

Yes, turned up with nothing connect to the input.
With out a connection to the input the Muff it amplifies the internal wires and what you hear is electrons in the wire. Its call thermal noise and very close to the make up of white noise.

I was thinking about buying a EH HOG, does it cover similar ground as the POG and Micro Synth, can I get the same sounds of those 2 pedals in the HOG or at least come close?

the HOG has a very nice harmony section (with a lot of octave, fifths and different harmony options) and as well includes the possibility of controlling those parameters with an expression pedal (which results in a whammy kind of sound, but with some other possibilities)... apart from that, the HOG includes a filter section that must be somehow similar to the microsynth and as well has the possibility of control with an exp pedal... is a very versatile pedal with many possibilities.

They all do some similar things but are very different in sound.
Best bet is to go to a shop and see whats right for your needs and sound.
