  • You want to know living standards are going up? Because minimum wages are going up, which requires business to let workers go, raise prices, and/or slash benefits.

The same goes for health-insurance. By trying to make ten doctors care for ten thousand patients, many of whom are in good health, the price of care is being driven up.

Supply and demand, people. It's an inescapable fact.

  • Saying that is a slap in the face of the people who were "poor" and still were able to make it in life through hard work rather than demanding other people's fortune.

Look up Sylvester Stallone, Robert Ringer, and Christ Gardner.

  • Blazier, you are full of it. By the way, I hate dogs.

  • I agree. I'm sick and tired of uneducated ignorants blaming the poor for being poor, when ANY good education would provide facts about the elite rulers exploiting the poor and keeping them so is EASILY proven.

  • there are plenty of jobs out there. they can get them

  • I would be willing to place a very solid wager that every person marching in this crowd that is actually living in poverty either has a job, or wants one. The issue here, gsb8261, is that they are not being payed a living wage, nor have health-insurance coverage, etc. In a country where wealth is skewed so heavily towards the few, it is *impossible* for everyone to be paid a living-wage, regardless of "initiative". The response of those marching is action. Your response: armchair ignorance.

  • gsb8261: what a horrible thing to say.
