  • I think we need to clarify responsibilities between Firestone & the Government. If those homes have no running water or toilets isn't that more about the lack of infrastructer in Liberia? In order to have toilets you'd need a developed and well maintained sewage system. Isn't that more on the Liberian gov't?

  • Those children should be in school! What an ignorant statement of Dan (whatever) of Firestone. But exploiting the ignorant, poor people is not a new story.

I wonder what GOD the boss of firestone serve that make him say that for country like Liberia The salary he pay those workers is ok? may The almighty GOD we all serve reword u for that statement.

  • @jaiguy5 you are 100% in a sense. But, I rather kick her out completely. See, this freekin company has been in our country for 86yrs+ which made them freekin rich and Liberia poor. But, thats all about to change. For competitors, We brought in Sime Darby from Assia which's investing US$850million covering 220,000 hec covering 4counties in Southwestern Liberia plus Golden Veroleum and EBF covering 410,000 hec to produce and export oil palm and rubber products. Good job LIB! Firestone must leave!
