  • How many people can say they have three legendary guitars? Most Floyd fans know of the Red Strat show here. Then there is the awesome Black Strat, which has a book written about its history by Phil Taylor (Daves guitar tech). Fender also makes replicas if you have 4 grand. Thats the most expensive replica I know of besides the SRV guitar, which goes for 25 grand. and last but not least, Dave has the first serialized strat. He is my favorite player.

  • Yep, plus the guitar strap he uses on the black strat belonged to Jimi Hendrix. He also has a Bill Lewis custom 24 fret that is one of a kind, Lewis has passed. Not to mention the Martin D-35 and the D-18!

  • @GilmourTrueHD and he has one of the most complex rigs ive ever seen, i mean he has backup pedals for his lead pedals my god, his p.u.l.s.e rig would cost over 30 grand to duplicate. One of the greatest guitarist of all time. Long live Sir. David Gilmour and Pink Floyd

  • @150peacemaker One of the reasons I love Gilmour's playing so much is he has never worried about playing a lot of notes, but he always makes every note he does play sound awesome and unique.

  • @GilmourTrueHD I have to admit i'm honoured to own a Relic Black Strat, she cost me £3100 (and i had it at a good price) and i'll never part with her (yes, the tone is absolutely BANG ON, especially when i try the Live 8 set or Coming Back To Life from Strat Pack). There are replica Signature strats gone for a lot more, one of the highest of which was Clapton's Blackie which also went for £20-£22,000 and were limited run of 275 (Custom Shop's first Signature strat).

  • @holomatrix It's a fantastic guitar, one of the few sig guitars that the upgrades are actually worth the extra price. Would love to own one.

  • Pino Palladino is one of coolest bass player ever. Look at him in this video, refused the spotlight.

  • David does make every note count. He knows when to "rest" and let the note carry it's weight !

  • @150peacemaker I feel his music in my SOUL. Plain and simple. It's as if he can communicate and speak through every note.

  • True genius. He knows what to do and what not to do which is the name of the game! In my opinion, this is the greatest song Gilmour has ever written. Also I, as a guitarist, believe that this song is very much like the song Keep Talking from the Division Bell album (1994). If you listen to the studio versions of these two songs (Keep Talking and Sorrow) right after each other, it gives you the same feeling in both pieces. The emphasis he puts in his vocal and guitar skills in these two songs ar

  • Stunning performance! David is an inspiration to so many people.

  • By far my best song by David Gilmour. I love the lyrics and this performance the best. But Comfortably Numb is definately 2nd best.

  • At 0:27, he's kinda pouting...

  • @150peacemaker The Pink Floyd Experience are doing a tour where they're replicating the entire PULSE show, right down to the stage, and the mirror ball in Comfortably Numb, so imagine how much that's costing them.
