  • @RichardElden The only element in the show that could be deemed racist ( but wasn't ) is a minor West Indian character they chose to nickname "Chalky", except this was a common name given to West Indian immigrants at that time & certainly in the show was never used in a derogatory way.

    As for it being "unfunny", that's subjective. As far as I'm concerned, it's one of the most enjoyable tv series ever made, brilliantly cast & performed. I doubt you've even seen a full episode, I've seen all 74.
