Way to catch the metaphor. If the Capuchins are so dedicated to these nuts, you know for sure that this is likely one of the few sources of food in the area. If you take this away, they would either need to find a new rock ("inventing" a new way to produce food) or seek an alternative. Many animals have gone extinct due to their dependence on a certain factor and in this case, their dependence on the rock will rock their lifestyle if it is gone.

Humans are more related genetically to the old world monkeys / "apes." New World monkeys like the Capuchin are more different to our DNA.
