hi, would kids aged 12 or 13 beable to take part as a musketeer?

@iclepingu - members have to be 16 to go onto the field or to train to be musketeers. Younger kids can learn the basics though.

Well, you don't have to be young. We have roles more suitable for 'older' people and have lots of members in their 50s, even 60s. So age doesn't have to be a barrier to enjoying this great hobby.

I wonder what makes reenacting Civil Wars very popular on both sides of the Atlantic.

It is a great hobby - exciting, sociable, interesting, challenging. People also like to keep in touch with their own nation's history. Taking part in re-enactments can't let us know what it was really like back then, but we at least get a sense of it and a better understanding of the causes of such conflicts and the human cost.
