  • @Gufberg The French only wait when they should not.

  • I loved Azincourt. Finished it in 2 days. I was over the moon when I found out it had got a film deal

  • amazing book.

stakes in the ground for the cavalry. genius.

  • This is an amazing book which I've just finished.

  • err Fuck off! the scots were not conquered nor have ever been conquered by any1 the battle of culloden had equal scots on both sides and was a battle between royal families more than anything else the uprising of wiliam wallace really repulsed the english for good that y scotands still here...

  • Regardless of this, it is still an incredible feat for 6000 men to defeat 20-30.000 men.

And the french could have won the battle, if they had waited for the english to come to them.

  • It has been proven by archeology, files and other researches that the english did not beat the french themself,

For some reason many people who first see the official documents think that english longbows was the weapon that won the battle, but it has been proven that their bodkin arrow would break on french steel armor wich they had.

The longbowman assassinated the french who fell and were stuck or drowning because of the mud that would suck on their armor and prevent them from standing again.

  • "The English would have lost this battle if not for the muddy ground and the lessons they learn fighting the Scots."

Well, if you don't learn from your past mistakes then you don't win, which is why the Scots were ultimately conquered by the English and why the English were slung out of France.

  • But yet they won, partially because of the arrogance of the french nobles who, instead of waiting for the english to cross the muddy field, crossed it themselves.

no matter what, it is an incredible feat for barely 6000 men to defeat 20-30.000 well armed, fell fed soldiers.

  • The English would have lost this battle if not for the muddy ground and the lessons they learn fighting the Scots.
