Thanks for that offer, pvampire. I used to spend a lot of time in the area of the Mormon Mountains--north of Moapa. Ever tried around there?

Thanks for that info, Rob. Didn't notice your post until now--you should have replied directly to my post so I could have gotten the response.
I do plan to buy a 4500 and give Nevada a try. Busy with some other stuff right now. When I'm ready I will call you--I've looked at your website, and it's pretty clear you're a dedicated supplier.

Would it be accurate to say that there's no use searching anywhere that DOESN'T have bedrock within a foot or so of the surface?
I'm thinking of getting a 4500 and trying Nevada. All of the youtube videos (in the US)that I see looking for nuggets are shot in Arizona. Is there any reason to discount Nevada? Certainly, there are a ZILLION desert washes there!
Hello GetMeThere, Nevada is a great State for Nuggethunting. Arizona seems to be a hot spot for prospecting, but not the best State for gold in my opinion. The nice weather is one reason most seem to head to Arizona. Given enough time gold will reach bedrock, but it don't have to be on bedrock. I have found hundreds of nuggets way above bedrock, but have found thousands on bedrock. Just kind of depends where you are hunting.
P.S. Give us a call.
