  • Think you're about 20 years too late if you want to hear a live version of this song!

Think there is a clip on it somewhere on YouTube possibly.

Great song, great album, great band, great days!

  • I have never heard of them, but this is a bloody good song

  • This song is absolutely brilliant; the refrain's still vividly ringing in my ears after 25 years or so. Back in those days I had the vinyl LP "Shades of Liberty" borrowed from some friend and the whole thing was top notch although I had never seen the band on TV (in Italy, at least). Now that I listen to them again after so many years I can say this stuff is standing the test of time and it's still sounding extremely pleasant and fresh. Undoubtedly under-rated talents. Thanx 4 posting.

  • Hey Dominic and Dallas, one of my best songs of all time, you guys will always be there, schweeeeeeeeeeeeeeet !!!!!

  • Seen Simple Minds 44 times now, bought Shades of Liberty coz they supported them, now play in S.M. tribute band based in Cork & this song, the whole album is class, remember listening to it getting ready to go to a wedding when i was 16,was planning to listen to a couple of songs then throw on The Minds,Sons & Fasc...never did..listened to this bout 3 times over, have it on vynal back in Dundee.got 2 get it on disc, any help???

  • The first time I heard a song of Shades of Liberty, I thought it was a new song from Simple Minds, which I thought was strange, since there was no news about a new album by them. Later I found out that Jim Kerr helped them with that album. Love their music

  • Miss this band. Had the album on vinyl, but no more. Moved away from Europe in the pre internet days and lost track. Later I heard they made 2 more albums, of which I never heard one song. Do they have any of their music on CD's now? Good to hear them on youtube. Unleashing some great Amsterdam memories.

  • I hid away in my mind, not a good idea.

  • Really love this band, only just discovered them 2 days ago!

  • Please, post the lyric of this song. I badly understand English))) Thanks!

    The song so good!!!!
