i wish that they would make suv's like they used to. my dad says this new explorer is like a aluminum box just like the crossover so its not that good with crash tests. even though the new explorer does really good. anyway i miss the older style my mom has a 2005 mountaineer and i love that truck saved her life too.

Large Crossovers in my mind are "minivans in the shape of aerodynamic SUVs without exteeme offroad capability" Ford killed the explorer when they got rid of the solid rear axel. In opinion there are only 5 or 6 true SUVs left out there, Land Cruiser/LX 4Runner, Grand Cherokee, and Land Rover/Range Rovers.
