During the peaceful #J20 (January 20) Occupy Wall Street West day of action, at approximately 11:00AM, a brigade of motorcycle police ran their bikes into a young woman who was standing near the edge of the street, in the crosswalk. When I aimed the camera in their direction I was attacked by Officer M. Ali, Badge #619.

Officer M. Ali shoved me to the ground, sending my live stream camera onto the rainy street below. Luckily a fellow activist got a hold of my backpack and pulled me away from the aggressive officer. As soon I was back on my feet, I went to pick up my camera. Officer M. Ali was standing over it & stepping on it which shattered the screen. It also looks as if a couple motorcycles ran it over. As I reached down to pick up my camera, Officer M. Ali struck my right knee with his baton, before finally kicking the camera further down the street.

  • How do you know that woman wasn't an innocent?! What does it matter? Did she deserve to get run over? Do you even know her? At least she's fighting for your rights on the front lines while you're behind a computer screen.

  • What did that officer say after the video?

  • @runfayalife anon? is that you?

  • Wait how did they break it if its still working?

  • God Bless OWS!

  • These cops need to be locked up, but I doubt that they will. Cops lie, white lie, cheat, and steal to protect their own.

  • @tehnoobtune yep. The lid of a wheelie bin makes an excellent shield. You just put four holes then two bits of rope looped through for your arm

  • thats fucked up...i would press charges...

  • Here is his office number: 415-553-1527 CALL HIM NOW- we are all entitled to call public officials at their place of work when they behave violently and illegally, to give a condemnation of their behavior. let him know he is being watched. Tell him you just watched a video of him knocking down a videographer and such attacks on protesters will not be tolerated.

  • @tehnoobtune just called, he was "not available" nor was his superior. On hold now with the OCC
