Charles Barron's district ranks first in affordable housing development, because while other politicians are often in bed with developers, he takes an adversarial position and drives a hard bargain.

"A developer came into my office, threw down his little plan, and said, 'Councilman, I need you to approve this.' I said, "This meeting is terminated," and made him wait a month before I would talk to him again.

Americans refuse to acknowledge that they are being bamboozled by the wealthy elites and are voting for policies that are in direct conflict with their interests. We have been convinced that their/our interests are one and the same. So when another type of analysis comes along, we express our cognative dissodence as NoBS demonstrates. Not bothering to ask why his analysis is wrong it is rejected because he has been trained to reject it.
