Quantum Leap

This is a video about Sam and Al's friendship throughout the five series' of Quantum Leap. I heard this song and I thought that it fitted them quite well, as they'll always be there for each other no matter what. I, personally, don't view this as slash but if ya want to then that's fine...I guess xD. Let me know what you think.

This show was very special to me as a teenager. As for your question: I felt Sam and Al were really close, a kind of -ship I was awakened to but didn't yet see as slash. I cried when Sam was a mental patient/a priest, Al's reactions... There are often references to Guardian Angels on the show. Spiritually speaking, a guardian angel is someone's soulmate; a series has many levels of subtext. For a woman, slash relationships serve to awaken one's essential masculinity/perfect partner - soulmate.
