The E-flite P-40. Just what I was looking for! I had been searching for a medium size(20 to 30 inch wingspan plane) for some time. I came across the P-40 and it looked perfect! With a 25" wingspan it is small, but not tiny, and has much power with a brushless motor!

Comes as an ARF and needs these items to complete:
1. 2 Servos (Eflite S60 recommended)
2. RX + TX (Whatever you want, but AR6110/AR6110e/AR500 with a DX6i are most recommended)
3. ESC (Eflite 10A ESC Recommended)
4. Battery (2s 430mah 7.4v 20C)

  • How do you like the E-fite P-40! Looking for my first rc plane!

  • @paulwilliamsd it is a great plane. I don't know if I would suggest it as a very first RC plane though. It requires some building, although not much... but it also has ailerons and is a bit touchy. I would suggest perhaps a micro J3-Cub if you are looking for something smaller to start with. Or the slightly larger HobbyZone Champ.

  • Dont understand why they make planes with ailerons at the tip ofthe wings and not near the propwash..?? Why not use the whole lenght og the Wings and get better control?

  • @MIRCWOOD because the real plane didn't have full wing ailerons. This is a 'scale' looking plane, they did it right.

  • I saw it too and thought wow! Just ordered one and I can't wait! lol!

  • @AJH0014 no problem. I would really suggest getting some 2cell 350mAh to 500mAh lipo batteries though. The ESC recommended for use with this plane works best with a 2cell lipo. I don't think other batteries will work with it. These 2cell lipos cost like $5 a piece only at hobbyking and some other sites.

  • @AJH0014 psp batteries? I don't think that will work. This plane uses about a 400mAh 2cell lipo battery.

  • nice looking little warbird, i like it, and if u looks for more planes this size take a look at kyoshos airium series, they have a Spitfire and a ME109, also scale look and very nice to fly....

  • Wow, its alot smaller than I had thought.
