On November 19, 2011, McLean Hospital celebrated it's 200th anniversary during a gala event. Mariel Hemingway was presented the McLean Award—the hospital's highest honor—for her commitment to serving as a champion of mental health issues, including suicide awareness and prevention.
This is a sincere, honest & touching speech.

I think a person's heart and spirit shows. She is still as youthful and beautiful as always.

The losses to your family and the world from this huge problem really strikes home with me. As an artist and a sufferer, I know that everyone has to find their own key to survive suicidal thoughts and impulses. Even drugs sometimes cannot help, and I believe it is because they don't help you find that key. I admire your courage in working with this issue... in my own experience the stigma is so irrational, as irrational as suicide itself. I really believe that. The stigma is irrational.

it's a very serious issue. i am watching and listening now, sense will come back. cannabis is a good conditioner for depression. alcoholics can or cannot drink less when using steady use of it and which is more risky? you look good, i don't know how your whichever number or is it like 35. suicide is a protest against the lack of happy consonants but nobody who is over the pain or suffering would be interested
