Most people think the british or the irish are the greatest immigration group, but people from the area called "germany" (the area changed in history) are the greatest immigration group in the us...approx 17% of todays us americans have german roots. White people wrote the history books so what you see is a white perspective, of course racism played a large part. Our primary goal as reenactors is to educate. America was a lot more diverse than most people think. OK, maybe not Pacific Islander but, we welcome anyone with a love of history and willing to wear wool in June. You would be welcome in any unit.
