Love the duggars and Im a huge fan of them but sorry at my wedding reception, there's gonna be drinking and dancing or else some certain family members of mine that will not tolerate each other, lol!

I got the impression that they hardly knew each other before the proposal/acceptance, and from then it was only one month until they married. It just all seems so quick. And I'm not sure I understand their version of 'courtship' where you get engaged FIRST, THEN you are allowed to spend time together planning your wedding. I mean, if they discovered they weren't right for each other after that, wouldn't it have been too late to change their minds?

I had got the impression from watching the videos that their meetings went as follows: met each other for the first time very briefly and exchanged a few words at the homeschool conference; then Anna and her family came to stay with the Duggars for a few days; then... I don't know, did they maybe exchange emails? And from that basis Josh decided that he wanted to marry her? I just wonder how you can know you want to marry someone when you've met them so few times and spent so little time withthe

@tara34952 They may not have been alone when they spent time together, but they did spend time together. They focused on knowing each other's ideas of marriage, life, habits, and just each other in general. What gives you the impression that Josh and Anna barely knew each other when they got married? I'm genuinely curious, by the way, I'm not being confrontational.
