Even though America ranks 139th out of 172 countries in the world in voter turnout, and more people vote for American Idol than the U.S. president, at the debate in Charleston, S.C. there was only one question about fixing our broken voting system and one candidate given time to answer. Not to worry. I headed up to the spin room with my camera to get some real answers.
In the video: CNN's Anderson Cooper and John King, Mike Gravel, Elizabeth Edwards, David Axelrod, Dennis Kucinich, Howard Dean and Chris Dodd.
Next stop: the Republican CNN/YouTube debate September 17!

can any of the republican candidates live up to the definition of the word--CONSERVE?--"to keep in a safe or sound state; especially to avoid wasteful or destructive use of..."
Please question ALL political parties and vote for the candidate who lives up to the word "conserve."

It's my first viewing of a WhyTuesday vid, and this is great stuff. Please keep it coming. You did a stellar job.
I liked all the candidates' comments, though I thought Obama's rep was tepid. The rest were great, especially Dodd and Dean. Howard Dean was passionate about improving turnout, and Dodd had great command of his facts and didn't shy away from stating his opinion even when it collided with yours. It's good to see they have some guts.
