OMG! This video has nothing to do with Unix! It should be named 'Cygwin for Windows Idiots'. Cygwin's main purpuse is to port Unix software to Windows! Unless you have a Critical program that needs Cygwin, you're not gonna end up having it installed! You can do almost all things you can do in Cygvin in CMD, what is Windows's shell! It would be a nice video if you actually shoved a REAL UNIX-Like OS, such as Linux (What I am a user of.) and there showed these commands.

That's cygwin, it's a Bash shell emulator, you want to use the original bourne shell.

@mercenary1121 To add to what he said kinda. DOS stands for Disk Operating System. The way one of the first Windows system was made. And it is just a command prompt. Depending on who your talking to, some people will say MS-DOS not to confuse it with a Denial of Service Attack.
