Simon Deng: The Sudan Freedom 2010 Walk Begins in NYC

In a heartbreaking press conference in the shadow of that collective negation of humanity, freedom lovers converged to stand with my great friend and colleague, Simon Deng,a former Sudanese slave, to lead the fourth historic walk from New York to WashingtonDC to gain American support for the referendum to free Southern Sudan from the brutal islamization and arabization of the North.

Despite pleas for humanity and the promise of an independent state, Obama has distanced himself and his administration n the plaintive cries of the brutalized, routed people of Darfur and Southern Sudan.

From September 15 to October 7th, former Sudanese slave Simon Deng along side DHRO of the USA founder and President, Dr. Abdelgabar Adam of Darfur, will partner to lead The Sudan Freedom Walk 2010 from New York Washington DC to call attention to the referendum in Southern Sudan, the genocide being perpetrated against the people of Darfur and the continuation of salvery and other horrific human rights violations though out the country.

"We must hld our elected offcials accountable to their committments to bring peace to Sudan. said Deng. Deng was persecuted during the Civil War era between the Muslims and Christians in his homeland. Abducted into slavery by Arab northerners, Deng amazinfly escaped and returned to his family after 3 years.

He recently escaped an assassination attempt in New York and was hospitalized for two months. That's what we are dealing with.

How many incidents involving Islam are needed before people realise what Islam is? How many lives need to be ruined? It's incredible to me that people still make excuses for this barbaric and disgusting ideology. Where in the world can anyone point out where Islam has brought hope and prosperity to the non-Muslims that they share countries with? Slavery is wrong. Seems pretty cut and dried to me. The United Nations fails to fulfill its mission to keep peace and to protect victims from genocide and torture, due to its domination by Muslim Arab countries. In reality, we have a United Jihad Nations. It is a shell of its former self. A blasphemy of justice. A charade. A wasteful tax burden. A mockery of the Western democratic values it was founded upon. And we have a President in the White House who lacks the moral fiber or moral passion to do anything about it.
