Consist was Cab Control Car (CCC) 90229 leading, three cars, then engine 172 providing the push/power. Shot was taken out my drivers window as I waited to turn left onto N Saginaw Blvd. A tad too much "wind rumble" :-)

  • Why was the Pacific Parlour on the Heartland Flyer?

  • @gibb1991 Are you talking about the middle car?

  • Odd, you're just outside Dallas/Fort Worth, but it looks like the middle of Kansas.

  • @rwhitenight Wait, nevermind. That's really odd. Two of the coaches seem to be ex-Sante Fe bilevels and the middle one a modern Superliner.

  • @Amtrak1194 This is true, but not the only cabcar. She may be looking better than ever soon enough...

  • @CoasterMike2105 she's the only NPCU that has one!

  • @JAREDAMTRAK the RC-2 prototype was tested here in 1977 though so tehnically cbehr91 was correct

  • There is a CTC wye about a mile south of OKC ATSF Depot now. Also they could wye it in FTW at DALWORTH JCT (Peach Yard/TRE).

  • no turn facility at OKC they just reverse the train and use the other unit as the lead

  • i dont get the point of it being a push-pull service if on the entire route is only 2 trains.
