  • I like that little white piano.

  • Wow, what a great musician and teacher! I agree that the german harpsichord he uses isn't the best-sounding, and I also agree that the little white piano sounds interesting, but why on earth does that student not seem to do any of the things Newman says? She seems to play it EXACTLY the same way as before, not taking any suggestions. Newman sounds great, and the student just sounds icky for Bach.

  • @KhagarBalugrak Fair enough.

  • @baroqueboy, I used to be that kind of unresponsive student. I didn't know how to use my ear to actually hear exactly what the teacher was doing. It just passed right over my head. I think, also, it takes time to learn a completely new pattern. She was doing the best she could. She's young. Maybe in time she'll become a better musician.

  • what´s the name of that they are playing on piano? could someone tell me?

  • He taught me spelling too :-)

  • Newman is one of teh frighteningly great geniuses of our time. I studied with him myself.

  • OMG. hate her playing.

  • she got told. boom.

  • Harpsichord's probably just pretty out of tune.

  • Early music concepts, COMPLETELY indigenous to this music, are pretty foreign to modern schools of piano playing. They're just not learning it. So, no, she didn't catch on too quickly.

  • I really want to learn how to play classical on piano. But cant find a teacher like him
