  • God bless Fr. Dan!!

  • The abiding fear the American State is possessed of is: 'capital flight,' i.e., that captains of industry will take their investment dollars abroad. That's right--they would--and do--place capital in overseas markets. Said another way: the U.S. capitalist is America's own whore, i.e., he is 'loyal' or 'faithful,' but only to the highest bidder. Irony of ironies, the true Americans are the working class--and they are the ones who are consistently fucked--by the State, by capitalists, etc.

  • What guidelines does corporate America use to establish prices: "Whatever the market [i.e., us] will bear." (that word "bear": not unlike the Christ bearing up under His cross). Corporate America, in fact, is the 'cross' of the laboring class (they don't refer to it as 'predatory capitalism' for nought).

  • Fr. Daniel Berrigan wrote, of the Catonsville incident: "Our apologies, good friends, for the fracture of good order, the burning of paper instead of children. . . ."
