Got this and the sequel, appleseed Ex-machina. It's the most amazing anime Ive seen yet. A real masterpiece! It took seven years to make and I think all the hard work was well worth it :) Flawless fluidity in movement, stunning cityscape's, total jaw dropping animation plus an intelligent plot. I loved it. :) good post.

Honestly, I think this was the most over rated movie I've ever seen. Every single character was stiff and boring, the plot was needlessly hard to follow, the morals were derivative of pre-existing animes, the cell shaded graphics looked good on robots/buildings but horrible on humans, and to top it all off it was sooooo pretentious. Did it honestly need to start on a bible verse that had no relevance whatsoever?

I was expecting Metropolis quality. I got Space Thunder Kids with a budget.
