While staying on the tiny island of Kri (the population consists only of the staff of the two small dive resorts based on the island, the rest is jungle, not even a road exists on the island), we had the unexpected pleasure of listening to our dive guides playing local songs about their friends and family and the Raja Ampat islands. By day the would keep us safe diving on the reefs and at night they switched hats (literally) to play with drum, ukalele, guitar and a hand made (from driftwood) bass.
This is from our last full day, a Saturday, when no diving is done. Instead we went with nearly all the staff of Kri Eco Resort to another even smaller island to have a dayof picnicking, snorkeling and a little concert by the dive guides.
The main players are Efraim (guitar), Melky (bass), Arnes (ukalele), and Septimus (drum)
