It is a parent's worst nightmare ... the loss of a child and it happened to one family. In 2002, Shane and Karen Kelly lost their three-year-old son Davis in a crash on I-85. The community, friends and family united to create a memorial to him. A fundraiser began, brick by brick friends and strangers came together to help the Kelly's build their vision.

In 2007 when Animal Discovery opened at the Natural Science Center of Greensboro, The Davis Kelly Fountain of Youth and Discovery became a reality. It's a place where you can hear the laughter of children as water darts above their heads. Most of all, it's a place of healing and where a family shares their eternal love.
