Nice 1911 thats my next purchase. Anywho you def cant compare a glock to a 1911. I own a glock 30 love it shot 500 rounds right out of box never an issue dont get why people dont like them. To each their own but ive shot a 1911 and alot smoother and nicer imo. Although it is heavier and longer that is why you cant compare the two totally different style guns. I was sure you were going to say something other than the colt you were holding in your hand. I couldn't agree more. I think the hyperbole about the series 80 safety is over the top - while it's true it could jam, preventing the ability to fire, I don't know of any real cases where it has (unlike the S&W ILS which is documented).

The only gripe I have is that Colt sends it's ducktail safety to the local kindergarten for fitting! Just replace it with a Wilson drop-in Beavertail.

@TheYankeeMarshal DITTO! I LOVE the (STEEL FRAMED, and with A RAIL!!)Sig 1911's P200-series lines on them, SO BEAUTIFUL! It'll be my first 1911! Unless I find a Springfield Operator is under $800....lol. So nice that all the weapon's I still want are ALL 10-round/sub 10-round firearms!!
