  • I'm doing a friends 2010 ram. right now I got it ran with the constant 12v and I'm having trouble locating the ignition wire

  • @TheOllie666 Do you have a volt meter? That is the easiest way to find it.

  • Thanks for the vid, I'm about to switch out, but I was wondering if the sirius was a seperate unit or integrated in the factory stereo? Seperate plug in for new deck?

  • @rogerwilco71

I am 99% sure that the tuner is inside the factory radio, and the antenna cable goes straight from the antenna to the radio. So, unless I am wrong, all you would have to do is adapt the cable to a sirius tuner or an aftermarket radio that has a sirius tuner inside it. FYI, do NOT try to plug it into the regular am/fm antenna plug. I have heard that all you have to do is remove the yellow housing around the cable, and it goes right in the aftermarket siruis tuner.

  • hi, I have a 2001 ram 1500, that also has a 1.5 din, and i like your trim kit install. where can i find that kit like you have , that has the pocket under the radio. I like your instal, nice and clean look.....thanks for the video.

  • @honerbass

I don't know if you will be able to get a prefab kit with the pocket for your year model, but I purchase all my car electronics through Crutchfield d@t com. They give you free install gear when you purchase a new radio. I have a refer a friend code that will save you $20 off your first $200 purchase through them . Send me an email if you want the code.

  • Helped me out a lot on my 2011. Thanks man!!

  • Thanks bro

  • cheap ass looking stereo

  • with the after market radio. dose your radio stations still show in your speedo disply or dose is always read "radio off"?

  • @trenttyre

Nope, just the 5 screws I mentioned in the video.

  • did you not have to remove the srews from the cup holders, the screw in the space between the shifter and the cup holders and the shifter?

  • Thank you

  • @JeffRuno

I didn't notice a difference in the display other than the station you are listening to won't be displayed. I would go check it for you, but I traded the truck in for a 2010 this past weekend. I checked with Pac-Audio and they say you should only loose (if equipped) the U-Connect and Video Entertainment System (VES®).

  • First off i have been serching for countt less hours trying to find a video that shows this so i would like to start with thank you. Did the harness retain the system info display (compass, trans temp, coolant temp, oil pressure, oil temp) or was that info a sacrifice of having a sweet deck in the car?

  • @mahler444

    Thanks man.

  • Thanks for the info, nice job.
