Guitar Hero 3 PS3 online glitch

I was just playing gh3 on the internet one day when all of a sudden I heard the song selected but the screen didn't change... It kept playing Slow Ride over and over because that's what it does while someone else is selecting a song. I didn't have the ps3 hooked up to the vcr at the time so I had to stop playing for a second and plug it in and record. the song we were playing was Raining Blood by Slayer on Hard difficulty. The game froze after the song ended.
