is there anyway using vlc and handbrake to convert all of the movie because i keep trying and it only converts the bigger part as you say so i would have 3 to 5 different files containing the same movie anyway to have it as 1 file only?? please help thanks

A huge ripping "legality" disclaimer! Why not explain the cheap legal options first? Though not as convenient, I use a video capture cable ($7+) plus Audials.com Tunebite capture software ($25). You can also capture YouTube and Netflix streams for your ipod or phone to play anytime. Capture from screen and audio output is NOT illegal for private use. I used the capture to transfer Hi8 tapes to digital too. Click on my name for my experience with this setup; I am not promoting Audials.com
