My cats caught a baby bird, my mom got him away from them and I came home early from work and took care of him and nursed him through the night. I woke up every two hours just to try to feed him and make sure he was ok.
I took him to the Alabama Wildlife Center shortly after making this video. They labeled him as an Eastern Towhee and took him and his care from there. I sent in the card to find out what happened with him, hoping he'd make a full recovery since he seemed to be doing so much better after my night with him. As far as I could tell he had a broken leg and one obvious tooth wound to heal from (I realize broken legs are bad, but I have seen birds missing their whole legs and had hoped if that was what it came down to he'd be fine). The card came back to me saying he hadn't survived...
I wanted to share this because he was my baby. I cried so hard when I got in the car after taking him to them for help. I cried for a whole day when I found out he'd died. He was my baby bird and I loved him.
