Any level makes money with gemstones. People don't put their stuff on market. I was getting 4+ fire nodes (lvl 1 gemstone) and selling for 300 each, 100+ minimum. And it only goes up from there. I am only person posting lvl 4+ grade stuff on market in sizable quantities. I can make 30k+ a day easy while questing and sending my extra companions. One day I made over 80k

LOL I thought I needed slicing to open lock boxes so I never sent my companions to get them.
