These Monkees Kelloggs Commercials make me want some rice krispies. Newer Commercials annoy me to not want the product. To bad I did not grow up in the sixties. :-( I had to grow up in the 2000s. :,(

I like these old commercials from when I was a kid, I vaguely remember them but they are so much more cheerful and innocent than commericals now. Even the cartoons kids watch now are, to me, overly sophisticated and kind of mean spirited for what it seems kids should be watching. The cartoon characters are all very smart-mouthed and sophisticated. It's supposed to be cute for kids on tv shows now to talk like jaded adults. How sad! I worry about kids now, they don't get to be kids.

This was my favorite of the Monkees commercials.

@KatElliott64 AT HIS POINT, I WISH I WAS BORN IN THE 1940'S SO I CAN GROW UP IN THAT GENERAL WHEN THERE WE GOOD COMMERCIALS AS WELL AS GOOD TV SHOW. THEN AGAIN, THE SHOWS TODAY ARE TOO SEXUAL. COULD THEY JUST WATER IT DOWN A LITTLE?!?!?!

haha i like the way Micky said "Mikee!" haha soo cuteee

This whole commercial is sheer briliance- well-delivered, the comedic timing is razor-sharp- Mike steps in and reveals his little joke and Micky's expression at the tail end is just the best payoff. Even the little scene at the end where Davy tosses away the "Brand X" boxes and Peter hugs his box of Rice Krispies is hillarious!

@fromthesidelines I would allow Brand X to get in the running.

the real live ringo starr was on radio this morning.. the DJ asked, "what'd you have for breakfast ringo"? ... "oatmeal" said ringo... when does this corporate crap end? beer is more healthy than oatmeal. or cornflakes. corporate brainwashing.

I agree very much
The infamous "taste test" commercial for Rice Krispies from 1967. That the folks from Battle Creek would allow them to satirize "comparison tests" and announce 'Brand X' the victor, was quite unconventional back then.

Yeah I thought it was a little daring too. :)
