  • What is more fair than a flat tax, and why is he not pushing for that? Instead he wants tax people based of WHAT THE GOVT thinks is FAIR? And you think that is going to create wealth? WTF

  • @sonnstarr Considering the top 10 percent own a disproportionate amount of all the wealth in the nation it stands to reason that collectively they would pay a larger portion of taxes compared to other brackets; indeed one might say they're not paying enough. A progressive tax system - as put forward by Adam Smith (father capitalism) - is that one pays into proportionally to what one has benefited from it.

  • @gnomechomskylives Here is a reality check from the IRS. The top 10% of Americans (The Rich) pay 70.5 percent of this nations federal tax load. The top 10-25% pay 17 percent. The top 25-50% pay 11 percent. The bottom 50% pay 2.3%. Explain to me how this is unfair?

  • @thebigchooch1 amen!

  • @B0vee It's a shame. I wish more independents and/or right-of-center folks were more like you. Much of the extreme partisanship that gives rise to these kinds of "gotcha" videos has been fomented to keep us distracted from the real issues. That's not to say we can't disagree or criticize but this kind of partisan nitpicking is just counter productive to the kind of conversations we should be having.

  • @MrBr8y You clearly are a willful stooge of the economic oligarchy; There's very little that is capitalistic about our system which you defend. What people like myself want is REAL capitalism; one that works for everyone not just the elite. You can believe in your Ayn Randian Galtian "ubermensch" fairy tales and the romantic myths of "individualism" that have been cooked up for you but they will come crashing down upon you.

Hope you enjoy another 4 years of Obama! See you in 2016!

  • @gnomechomskylives Exactly, that's why I was curious to see your original comment. Only reason I mentioned it. I find it interesting adults making such definitive remarks to begin with. By the way I'm no Dem

  • @gnomechomskylives Ever lived outside of this country? If not, move. Then after a couple of years of struggling to build your dream, come back to me and speak with wisdom instead of your liberal, anti-capitalistic, occupy-wall-street, leech-off-society-and-blame-big-corporations-for-my-woes attitude.
