An excerpt from the major work of the pre-eminent 19th century anti-British economist Henry C. Carey. Of course, while some aspects are out of date, on the whole, the principle is still valid. I think its important that economics has to have a moral standpoint instead of just being about money. Sadly, the dominating axiom is based on money and and transient things, not the progress of man.
I found a PDF on archive.org but its not the best scan. Still readable, IMO...

Google Books won't let me download a PDF, and to do so from the "Library of Congress"
I have to be a student of Faculty of a Top Tier University!

Ya I can't stand "progressives". They attack the Koch bros but most of there private funders come from Wall Street firms. Its amazing how easily boomers are fooled!
Salvysahagun 3 months ago
@Salvysahag Considering that their main funding comes from a Nazi collaborator like George Soros, a guy who typifies international predatory finance, I don't put much stock in those guys or their fake image.

@Amiduffer You realize the progressive movement allys views FDR as thier icon?
Salvysahagun 3 months ago
@Salvysahagun What lying SOB in MoveOn is making an insane comparison like that?? I agree that Baby Boomers in general have completely f*cked up both parties.

@Amiduffer
Well they like to portray FDR as MoveOn.org icon. I'm not a HUGE FDR fan. I think he's a little over rated but is still an ACTUAL president. I'd much rather have FDR like Democrats then the Marxist like ones today.
I would prefer Mckinley/Lincoln type Republicans and Roosevelt/Kennedy type Democrats.
Our two sides of politics are BOTH idiotic

@Salvysahagun It doesn't help that he's been written out of the history books, but, pissing off the British Empire tends to make that happen to historical individuals. Look how they still feel the need to keep slandering FDR or Lincoln.

On Amazon.com they misspell Henry C Careys last name. and they don't offer any edited versions. Just a scan of his works that are cheapley bounded together. Same with the Report on Manufactures.
The publishing Oligarchs don't want us rediscover what works.

@Salvysahagun It does seem paradoxical that 16 years later he would be acting on behalf of the financial interests he was fighting earlier.
